We always rent villas when we travel to the Caribbean and Mexico and are sticklers for trying to secure villas that have sunset views. Bali had beautiful serene views and lovely sunset views. The interiors were very well done and comfortable and inviting. The open concept lay out was especially nice. The Pointe Milou area is a bit off the beaten track but St. Barts is a small island and it's maybe 15 minutes to town but there are closer beaches, restaurants and markets. We actually preferred the area.
This was our second trip with Travel Keys and, once again, everything went well and without any glitches (well except for some delayed luggage but that's the airline's fault). We worked closely with the same agent we used for the first trip and it was a great experience as she really understood our needs and our nuances. She really hit it on the nail again both with the selection of the destination and the villa. St. Barths is remarkable and I can't really compare to any other island we've visited thus far. It's French-yes so are other islands but St. Barts is so different...It's smaller, it's friendlier, it's cleaner, it just beats it's French sisters hands down. It's small...Yes, so are other islands we've visited such as St. John and Virgin Gorda. But, again, it's so different. Love both St. John and Virgin Gorda but neither are quite a St. Barts in terms of the range of restaurants and overall ambiance (certainly not Virgin Gorda which we love but which is a restaurant wasteland). The villa was perfect for the two of us. It was cozy and very warm feeling and everything focused around the pool and the view that went on forever. The island is really unique and I definitely recommend it as well as the Bali villa.
